I’m back! Regrets that your American Peasant-in-Colorado has been side-tracked from mission of bringing wisdom and/or relief to the great unwashed due to extensive remodeling of gigs here on the Great Plains. This dormant Painsian (Thomas, that is) is, and will be once again railing against the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. Well… or misfortune, depending on whether or not one invested in Halliburton-Brown &Root immediately after they jettisoned then ceo Dick-brains Cheney for his unerring leadership to bankruptcy. They paid him 5 million bucks to disappear, plus a hell of a lot of then low-value stock. When Bush-the-Younger declared “mission accomplished” in his flight suit get-up, he wasn’t kidding. HBR and The Carlyle Group, the Bush Family money-pot were on a roll unheard of since the Opium business which propelled the English crown to wealth beyond imagination. The Carlyle Group now controls/directs 8 Billion Dollars in international assets. That’s some serious dough. Hard to imagine whom they couldn’t bribe to look the other way. I’d like to fancy myself impervious, but then, baby needs a new pair of shoes…
